From the moment you board the bus in Sharjah to the moment you are dropped back after dinner, here is exactly how your evening unfolds.
Bus Pickup From Your Chosen Location
At your confirmed pickup time, board the air-conditioned bus at your chosen Sharjah meeting point. Depending on group size, transport will be a full coach or a minibus. The ride to the desert is comfortable, relaxed, and takes around 45 to 60 minutes. Our team will be in touch via WhatsApp before your tour to confirm your exact pickup time and any last-minute details.
Transfer to 4×4 Land Cruisers for Dune Bashing
Once the bus reaches the desert, you will be transferred into our own 4×4 Land Cruisers for the dune bashing session. Your driver will lower the tyre pressure and take you on a thrilling ride across the towering Lahbab red sand dunes, speeding up slopes, sliding down drops, and cutting across ridges. The session runs for 30 to 40 minutes and is the highlight of the evening for most guests. It is safe for adults and children over 5.
Sunset Photography on the Dunes
After dune bashing, your guide will stop at a high dune point to take in the desert sunset. The Lahbab red sands turn deep orange and gold as the sun drops, making it one of the most photographed spots in the UAE. Take your time, get your shots, and enjoy the silence of the open desert before heading to camp.
Camel Riding and Sandboarding
At the camp, every guest gets a camel ride as part of the package. It is a short, guided ride that is calm and safe for all ages including young children. If you want more activity, sandboarding is available on request. Our guides will provide the board and show you how to slide down the dune face. It takes a few attempts but most guests get the hang of it quickly.
Falcon Show and Desert Camp Activities
One of the highlights of the camp experience is our falcon show. Watch these remarkable birds up close, learn about their role in Arabian heritage, and take photos with the falcons. The camp also has henna painting, traditional Arabic dress for photos, a shisha lounge, and comfortable Bedouin-style seating throughout. There is plenty to do or you can simply relax and soak up the desert atmosphere.
BBQ Dinner and Live Entertainment
As the desert cools down, the BBQ buffet is served. The spread includes grilled chicken, lamb kebabs, beef, fresh salads, bread, rice, pasta, and desserts with full vegetarian options available throughout. While you dine, three live shows run back to back: a belly dance performance, a spinning Tanoura show, and a dramatic fire show to close the evening. Unlimited soft drinks, tea, and Arabic coffee are served throughout dinner.
Return Bus to Sharjah
After dinner and the shows, the bus takes you back to your original pickup point in Sharjah. You will be dropped off at the same location you boarded, making the return as easy as the journey out.
Where exactly are the pickup points located?
We pick up from Sharjah City Centre, Sahara Centre, Mega Mall Sharjah, and the National Paints area. When you book, tell us which point is closest to you and we will confirm your exact pickup spot and time via WhatsApp.
What time does the bus depart and when do we return?
The evening safari bus departs from pickup points between 2:30 PM and 3:00 PM depending on your location. The full tour runs until approximately 10:00 PM and you will be back at your pickup point shortly after.
Is this package suitable for solo travellers and couples or only for groups?
This package is open to everyone. Solo travellers, couples, families, and large groups all travel together on the bus. It is a social, group experience by nature, which is part of what makes it fun and a great value.
Can I upgrade to a private 4×4 pickup instead of the bus?
Yes. If you prefer door to door pickup in a private 4×4 Land Cruiser from your home or hotel, our Special Desert Safari package at 120 AED includes exactly that with the same full camp experience.
What happens if I miss the bus at my pickup point?
Contact us immediately on WhatsApp. Our team will do their best to arrange an alternative. We recommend arriving at your pickup point 10 minutes early to avoid missing the bus.
Is dinner really included in the 60 AED price?
Yes. The full BBQ buffet dinner with unlimited soft drinks, water, tea, and Arabic coffee is included. The only things not included are optional paid activities like quad biking and gratuities.
